Jane Cooper: Chiropractor
Jane has been practising since 2004 treating a range of conditions covering back, neck, shoulder, hip pain, migraine & headaches and more. She uses Activator Methods technique and McTimoney chiropractic.
As we get older many people expect a certain amount of degeneration such as grey hair and wrinkles. Frequently patients remark that they have had aches and pains in their back or hips and assumed it is part of the aging process. However, pain of any kind, at any age is a sign that something isn’t right.
Pain is the way your body signals that a limit has been reached or a problem has developed. Since we can adapt our posture to compensate, minor aches and pain are shrugged off. While the pain may go away the underlying problem remains unattended and slowly worsens until it becomes more difficult to resolve.
Chiropractic is a drug free, surgery free non invasive treatment of the spine and extremities. It is a very low risk treatment; Doctors of Chiropractic are trained to recognise conditions that require referral elsewhere and will advise you if this is the case.
Psychosynthesis counsellor, sophrotherapist and EFT practitioner
I am a psychosynthesis counsellor, sophrotherapist and EFT practitioner as well as being a qualified supervisor. I have a passion for my work and am committed to supporting and empowering people to take charge of their lives and overcome their challenges. I have over 9 years experience of working successfully with many problems, including depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, abuse, anger management, relationship problems, work-related problems, bereavement and lack of confidence. I work in a relational way, creating a safe space to explore each person’s unique situation and with complete confidentiality. Apart from empathic listening, I may use other tools such as relaxation exercises, guided visualisation, drawing, mindfulness and EFT (or Tapping) where I feel they may be appropriate and only with the consent of my client. I am registered with two official bodies: BACP and AAMET and abide by their ethical guidelines. My fees are £40.00 for one hour. For more information about me, please check the Counselling Directory.
