Teeth Whitening

A special fast working system which you, under the guidance of our dentist Indra, can carry out in the convenience and comfort of your own home.

It is very important to do this safely, so not to damage the teeth. With the correct application and use, teeth can be whitened significantly with long lasting results.

Tooth whitening is one of the easiest ways to enhance your looks and get more confident. Whether you want to add a sparkle to your smile for your wedding day or perfect your look for business meetings, whitening is simple, safe and affordable. Many people say that they feel years younger after the treatment, having erased the effects of ageing, coffee, red wine and cigarettes.
If you’re considering teeth whitening, you’ve come to the right place! Once our dentist Indra has assessed your smile and given you the go-ahead for teeth whitening you are ready to get the smile you have always wanted.

Comfy at home

We use a safe and effective tooth whitening tray system that is easy to apply and allows you to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. This treatment takes 2-3 weeks and provides you with a sparkly white smile that, with good maintenance, will last for years.
Worried about sensitivity and found this a barrier to teeth whitening in the past? We have the perfect solution for you. Products with less concentration can be used safely and just as effectively to get results even in the most sensitive situations. Gently is the key to success!

Our hygienist can professionally give your teeth a thorough cleaning, which uses a simple scale and ‘air brush’ technology to remove stains and build-up and restore your teeth to their natural colour, complemented by a high-gloss polish.

Safe Teeth Whitening

It is essential that the teeth and gums are assessed prior to ANY whitening as whilst whitening tooth enamel is safe, damage can be done if the products come in contact with cavities, recession, gum problems or some existing restorations. All our products are by the prescription of a dental professional only and are proven to be effective in suitable cases.
We advise caution with over-the-counter products and great caution with any products bought over the internet as there have been many cases of these chemicals being unsafe and causing irreparable damage.
The General Dental Council have successfully procecuted at least one beautician for conducting tooth whitening (April 2011). Keep your smile safe!

Can a single tooth which has been root filled be whitened?

Yes. Sometimes dead teeth go discoloured after a root filling. If the tooth has been root treated, the canal (which contained the nerve) may be reopened. The whitening product is applied from the inside to whiten the tooth.
